About the Role

As Little Spoon’s Director of People, you will have the opportunity to lead and support all people-related areas of a rapidly growing company.

What You’ll Do

  • Oversee all HR, recruiting and people operations functions of the company
  • Anticipate obstacles and proactively identify and implement solutions to keep up with and stay ahead of the growth of the business
  • Partner with senior leaders to understand priorities and connect them to hiring plans and team member development
  • Create onboarding process and run point on onboarding all new team members
  • Develop and manage all documentation including an employee handbook, HR policies and paperwork
  • Provide guidance to team members and managers on all facets of their employment, development and career planning
  • Work with hiring managers to define each role and engage external recruiters as needed
  • Support end-to-end hiring processes, including attracting, sourcing and screening top talent, making recommendations to hiring managers and negotiating offers
  • Play a leading role in our effort to create a more diverse and inclusive workplace 
  • Oversee company benefits and negotiations with third-party providers and platforms
  • Help us live out our company value of “enjoying the journey” by finding ways to continuously strengthen company culture, connection and team member happiness
  • Coordinate team events, gifting and swag
  • Be an approachable, active listener who inspires trust and confidence from leaders and individual contributors
  • Act as a strategic and trusted advisor to company leadership

Who You Are

  • At least 5 years of experience in a HR leadership position
  • Solution-oriented strategic thinker and doer 
  • Willingness to roll up your sleeves and wear many hats, embracing our value of “Nothing is beneath us and no task is too big or too small”
  • Strong competencies in leadership coaching, navigating difficult conversations, organizational effectiveness and design 
  • Excellent communication and planning skills
  • Personal commitment to driving diversity, equity & inclusion initiatives
  • Strong experience managing cross-functional relationships and the needs of a broad group of stakeholders
  • Proven agility and ability to succeed in a fast-paced, continuously-evolving environment
