Little Spoon is looking to hire a Planning Associate to help us manage our supply chain as we continue to grow our customer base and product lineup. The Planning Associate will strategically plan production for our current line of toddler meals and optimize outbound and inbound truck loads.
THE ROLE
- Strategically plan production requirements working directly with co-packers in an effort to optimize targeted finished goods inventory levels
- Coordinate with multiple transportation providers to ensure prompt and proper movement of shipments related to all finished goods
- Continually find opportunities to optimize the supply chain by working with multiple carriers
- Ensure finished goods are delivered into inventory to our external fulfillment centers based on inventory requirements
- Coordinate efforts and communicate transit delays of finished goods inventory
- Place purchase orders, ensuring delivery occurs on schedule and that items are received on time in full and that POs are reconciled against receiving paperwork
- Work with Finance and Accounting to ensure the accuracy of all PO’s and invoices and maintain various tracking documents
- Work cross-functionally to ensure packaging materials are delivered to our fulfillment centers in a timely and cost-effective manner
- Seek opportunities to improve processes and reduce inefficiencies
- Maintain a set of logistics KPIs while working continuously to improve
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- 3+ years of experience in supply chain and planning
- Strong knowledge of supply chain processes and procedures including manufacturing planning, demand and replenishment
- Knowledge of and interest in healthy food, nutrition, and helping parents and kids feel their best via what they eat
- Self-motivated, embrace initiative, and willing to get your hands dirty
- Natural problem solver with a positive attitude and strong time management capabilities
- Computer savvy; able to proficiently use Excel, Word, Google Docs, Slack, Inventory Management Systems
SALARY RANGE
$60,000-$70,000
Our salary ranges are based on paying competitively for our size and industry, revenue, department, and more. Individual pay decisions are based on a number of factors, including qualifications for the role, experience level, and balancing internal equity relative to other employees.
