• Work on-site at our St. Louis, MO co-manufacturing facility to oversee and support our daily production requirements
  • Act as a liaison between Little Spoon HQ and facility management and the production team 
  • Work hands on with the production staff in the kitchen and on the line, observing, assisting, motivating, and implementing solutions to increase throughput, improve efficiency and reduce waste
  • Monitor daily production performance and results, owning production-related KPIs (e.g. yields, labor cost, attainment, CFR, product testing, equipment testing and capacity)
  • Assist with receiving and the inventory management records of raw materials performing ad hoc cycle counts as required 
  • Develop and implement systems to improve facility operations 
  • Work with the Product Team to identify process improvement opportunities via product evaluation reports, customer feedback, customer complaints and detailed observation
  • Assist with product development projects, from material vetting and trial runs from testing through to full-scale production
  • Participate in the testing, installation, and commission of new culinary equipment 

Desired Skills And Experience

Our ideal candidate will check most of these boxes:

  • 5+ years experience in food production, product development and/or quality assurance for manufacturing
  • Culinology Degree, Food Science Degree, Culinary Degree or equivalent background and experience
  • Passion for and ability to stay current with food industry trends, especially related to product development, functional ingredients, equipment technology and regulatory requirements
  • Applied experience with ensuring quality, safety and good manufacturing processes (GMPs) are followed
  • Ability to think creatively and come up with solutions to ever-changing business needs and competing priorities
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, able to execute daily tasks quickly and error-free
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
  • Comfortable working independently and communicating regularly with remote team members
  • Process-driven, willing to learn and have a “get-things-done” attitude
  • Tech savvy with strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets
  • Experience working in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment
