About The Role:
Little Spoon was founded on the belief that today’s parents are different—equal parts more time-strapped and food knowledgeable than ever. We set out to disrupt a century old category with both products and an experience that delivers on what the modern parent deserves.
We are seeking a relationship powerhouse, strategic storyteller and press whisperer to join our team and build on the kind of buzz and cultural relevance that Little Spoon has driven to date. If you gravitate toward being a part of the scene, know how to build connections that matter and live + breathe media—this role is for you.
This is a highly visible role at the heart of our brand — perfect for someone who’s equal parts creative, organized, and connected. We’re seeking an individual with ~7+ years of experience to play a critical role in shaping Little Spoon’s continued brand presence in culture as we scale across the U.S.
What you’ll do
- Own and execute the PR strategy across consumer, trade, and lifestyle verticals to build consistent, positive brand presence, leading and managing our PR team to maximize every brand moment.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key media contacts, journalists, influencers, and cultural connectors.
- Proactively secure earned media coverage through storytelling, press releases, pitches, product seeding, and creative moments.
- Identify and drive brand-building opportunities including awards, panels, events, and thought leadership for founders and execs.
- Manage inbound media inquiries and craft thoughtful, on-brand responses, statements, and talking points.
- Establish brand relationships that drive Little Spoon’s role in culture (e.g. entertainment deals, celebrity deals).
- Develop press materials (press kits, bios, fact sheets) that are sharp, clear, and always on-brand.
- Track, measure, and report on PR performance, including coverage, sentiment, and share of voice.
- Collaborate with the broader marketing team to ensure messaging alignment and to capitalize on brand moments.
- Maintain a highly organized system for press contacts, outreach, coverage, and follow-ups.
- Stay ahead of cultural and media trends, and bring fresh, relevant ideas that elevate the brand and drive conversation.
- Anticipate and manage brand reputation by leading proactive and reactive crisis communications, crafting thoughtful, on-brand narratives across channels to protect the company’s reputation and align with business objectives.
What You’ll Bring:
- Proven experience leading brand content, awareness + partnership strategies and execution across multiple marketing channels.
- A creative + strategic mindset with a passion for disruptive, high-impact brand work.
- Expertise in influencer marketing, social media, editorial content, and brand activations.
- Strong leadership and team management experience, with a focus on collaboration and mentorship to enable growth for high impact team members.
- Excellent communication and project management skills, able to balance creativity with business objectives.
- A track record of success in driving brand growth, engagement + equity through content.
What You’ll Need:
- 7+ years of relevant experience
- Meaningful network of relationships alongside demonstrated impact in previous functions
- Confidence in management and leading a team of supporting resources
- Out of the box strategic thinking, with a mindset that every opportunity offers a way to drive relevance and impact for the brand
