About The Role:
Little Spoon was founded on the belief that today’s parents are different—equal parts more time-strapped and more food-savvy than ever. We set out to disrupt a century-old category with products and an experience that deliver on what the modern parent deserves.
We’re seeking a Senior Manager of Retail Marketing to lead the strategy and execution of our retail marketing programs, starting with Target and expanding into additional accounts.
This is not a traditional brand marketing role, nor is it a project management position. It’s a hands-on, strategic marketing role focused on driving integrated retail programs across channels and teams. You’ll own go-to-market planning and execution, working cross-functionally with Little Spoon leadership, agencies, and internal teams to deliver high-impact campaigns across launch marketing, shopper media, in-store promotions, and reporting.
You’ll play a key role in building the systems that power Little Spoon’s retail marketing engine, while also rolling up your sleeves to drive day-to-day execution, track performance, and ensure everything runs smoothly, on time, and on brand.
What You’ll Do:
Retail Marketing
- Own and lead all retail marketing and go-to-market workstreams across Target, Amazon and future retail partners (e-commerce + in-store).
- Build and manage GTM calendars, promotional timelines, and execution plans; align agencies and internal teams and hold stakeholders accountable.
- Centralize and route retail marketing requests (from promos to in-store marketing), ensuring clarity, speed, and brand alignment.
- Manage day-to-day agency and platform relationships (shopper, Roundel, TPA, and retail media partners), ensuring all programs launch on schedule and deliver against performance goals (ROAS, CTR, conversion).
- Develop and manage paid media campaigns end-to-end — from audience segmentation and creative optimization to bid management and campaign trafficking.
- Identify and address risks or bottlenecks across creative, sales, ops, lifecycle, and tech, with a bias toward proactive solutions.
Executional Leadership
- Maintain and optimize key tools (dashboards, trackers, calendars) to support visibility and operational excellence.
- Draft briefs, route decks, and consolidate feedback for shopper and retail media campaigns, ensuring work reflects the brand and business objectives.
- Partner with cross functional teams and third parties on in-store marketing (sampling, QR codes, signage, co-op programs).
- Coordinate mid- and upper-funnel marketing (OOH, influencer content, PR events, sampling) that supports retail.
- Share weekly performance snapshots and campaign dashboards with leadership to drive visibility and agile decision-making.
Performance & Optimization
- Analyze POS, retail media, and paid campaign performance data (ROAS, CTR, conversion, velocity, household penetration) to identify trends, insights, and optimization opportunities.
- Build and maintain reporting dashboards and campaign summaries, translating performance data into actionable recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Test and iterate on campaign formats, targeting strategies, and creative messaging to improve efficiency and impact.
- Manage retail marketing budget trackers; monitor spend and flag reallocation opportunities based on performance.
- Translate learnings into a Retail GTM Playbook— codifying best practices, timelines, and tools.
- Continuously improve marketing systems and workflows, strengthening executional discipline while unlocking time for strategic thinking.
- Partner closely with the DTC Marketing team to share learnings, insights, and opportunities – ensuring retail and DTC strategies inform and strengthen one another.
What You’ll Bring:
- Proven ability to lead retail marketing programs from concept through execution while staying hands-on with trackers, briefs, and budgets.
- Strong grasp of paid media performance, including campaign optimization, reporting, and analysis across retail media platforms (e.g., Roundel)
- Deep organizational and coordination skills; thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
- Strong communicator and relationship-builder across leadership, agencies, and field teams.
- Data-driven; confident pulling reports, analyzing velocity, and using insights to guide decisions.
- Proactive, resourceful, and solution-oriented with a bias toward execution.
What You’ll Need:
- 5–7 years of experience in retail marketing operations, GTM project management, or shopper marketing/retail execution roles; CPG and omni-channel brand or agency experience a strong plus.
- Comfortable working independently, collaboratively, and communicating regularly with remote team members.
- Experience working in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment.
- NYC Metro Area (preferred); hybrid work style with in-office collaboration.
