Our Opportunity
Little Spoon is seeking an experienced Senior Product Designer to join our high performing Product Design team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing features that drive customer acquisition, retention, and overall growth. As a key member of our team, you will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver exceptional user experiences that fuel Little Spoon’s mission of making fresh, healthy food accessible to all children. This position can be based in our New York City office or remotely from anywhere in the United States.
What You’ll Do
- Contribute to the design and optimization of key growth areas such as customer acquisition, conversion, and retention.
- Execute and support user research initiatives to gain insights on user behaviors, pain points, and motivations – leveraging quantitative data and qualitative insights to inform design decisions and ensure Little Spoon evolves in line with user feedback.
- Partner closely with Product Managers to create and test hypotheses, utilizing rapid experimentation methods such as A/B testing to validate and optimize design decisions based on data-driven insights.
- Create wireframes, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that clearly outline user journeys that are intuitive, take a user-first approach, and are visually appealing.
- Effectively communicate design concepts and rationales to cross functional teams and stakeholders while championing user-centered design strategies.
- Embrace a continuous improvement approach – learning from user feedback and performance metrics on each iteration and improving design concepts to achieve the best possible outcomes, meet evolving user needs and stay competitive.
- Work closely with Engineering and QA to ensure designs are technically feasible and maintain design integrity throughout the development process.
What You’ll Need
- 5+ years of experience in Product Design with a focus on growth and optimizations. You have demonstrated success in driving conversion, user engagement, and retention through effective design strategies.
- You have a portfolio that demonstrates your expertise in Product Design and your ability to craft compelling, user-centric solutions. Your case studies clearly outline your end-to-end design process and highlight your capacity to think strategically and creatively to deliver holistic, innovative and impactful solutions that balance user needs and business goals.
- You have a deep understanding of design principles, design thinking, information architecture, and interaction design that you unapologetically adhere to to ensure user satisfaction, increased engagement and strong business outcomes
- You have a meticulous eye for design and exceptional attention to detail. You continuously ensure all design outputs are of the highest quality and consistency.
- You thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting business goals, demonstrating resilience and perseverance when faced with challenges or ambiguity.
- You’re skilled in conducting user research such as usability testing, user interviews, and surveys to validate your ideas and gather insights to ensure your designs are well-informed and user-centric.
- You excel at utilizing tools such as HotJar or FullStory to analyze data to identify usability issues, understand user behaviors, and gather valuable feedback.
- You are proficient in Figma and are confident in high-fidelity prototyping and managing component libraries.
- Previous experience with direct-to-consumer and subscription services is highly desirable.
